Our District

Greetings McCleary Community!

I am honored to serve as the Principal for the McCleary School District.  I have enjoyed my time living and working in this district, serving the students, families, and staff in our community. In my four years at McCleary I have gotten to know many families, but for those who do not know me, here is some professional and personal information about me.

Prior to working in McCleary, I spent my entire professional career in the Asotin-Anatone School District in Eastern Washington. I was a high school English teacher for 14 years at Asotin High School. Additionally, I coached and served as the HS Athletic Director for three years. From 2013 to 2019, I served as the Special Education Director and Middle School Principal. I joined the McCleary team as the building principal in the summer of 2019, where I currently serve.

Personally, my wife Katie and I have been married for 23 years. Katie currently serves as the 5th-grade teacher in our district. We have four incredible children: Kara, a freshman at WWU; Owen, a junior at Elma; Leah, an 8th grader at McCleary; and Maia, a 4th grader at McCleary. We enjoy spending time with our family, traveling, and attending events for our kids.
